delete_file

This is a soft delete of a file.

Its metadata row is marked deleted with a retention window (30 days by default); the stored object is purged after that window, not at deletion. Restore recovers the metadata row only; use restore_file to restore it. Get or download of a deleted file, and deleting one already deleted, fail with 422.
